COVID 19

Nomads COVID 19 Policy:

New Zealand Football have recently released guidance, developed with Sport NZ and Federations, for delivering football and futsal under the Covid-19 Protection Framework.

New Zealand Football and Federations have confirmed football and futsal for participants aged over 12 years and three months will operate as My Vaccine Pass Gatherings. This is to ensure that the game remains compliant with the COVID-19 protection framework and can be played in the safest possible environment.

All participants aged over 12 years and three months will require a valid My Vaccine Pass to be involved in these Gatherings. Participants aged 5-11 are encouraged to be vaccinated.

Some key points to note are:

  • To participate in any Nomads organized events or programmes, members over 12 years and 3 months must display their vaccine pass and have this verified at the designated sign in desk by a member of our staff. Signage and posters will be available to point you in the right direction.

  • The clubrooms are open only to members with a vaccine pass and this must be displayed on entry. This includes the upstairs area, balcony, changing rooms and toilets.

  • Please ensure you scan in via the COVID-19 tracer app or use the sign-in spreadsheet.

  • Face masks are encouraged but not mandatory.

  • If you do not have a vaccine pass, you are not permitted to participate in any of our programmes / events at this time.

Please note that these are mandated rules from the Government to ensure that we can continue to operate under the current traffic light guidelines. Nomads passes no judgement towards your individual choices.

Hygiene Safety

Even though we are a highly vaccinated country, COVID-19 can still spread in our communities.

To slow the spread of the virus, and continue to help protect you, your whānau, and your community, it is important to keep up the healthy habits we know.

  • Regularly wash and thoroughly dry your hands or use hand sanitizer.

  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow.

  • Keep your distance from people you do not know.

  • Clean or disinfect shared surfaces often.

  • If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and get a test.

Football Training Programme Handbook:

Nomads has prepared a lockdown training handbook designed to help keep the players active and fit during lockdown. There are a number of different football activities and challenges within the handbook as well as some information on mindfulness, resilience and other mental strength and character building activities.
